Q. Can you send me a sample?
A. Yes, I can mail a sample, please send me your address and if there was a particular design you wanted to see to: babyjcards@gmail.com

Q. What type of paper are they printed on?
A. They are printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Type 1 paper on a matte surface.

Q. Do I have to send you pictures in black and white?
A. No, I convert all the pictures sent to black and white. Just send your normal pictures.

Q. What form of payment do you accept?
A. I can send you a Paypal invoice (takes all credit cards) or I can give you my address if you would rather mail a check or money order (international orders: Paypal only).

Q. How should I send the pictures?
A. I prefer to have them emailed as .jpeg, .tif, or .bmp type files in their ORIGINAL state (meaning please don’t crop or edit yourself) Please do not shrink them down to make them more email friendly. You may have to send one picture at a time depending on what your email allows. If you send pictures and do not hear back from me for a few days, most likely something went wrong and I did not get them. I always email back that day or the next day when I receive your pictures so you know they went through successfully.

Q. Can I send them through Ofoto, Yahoo photo albums, MSN photo album, etc. (online photo sharing)?
A. I prefer to have them sent as attachments. If you do not know how to do this, please email and I will help you. Ofoto and similar programs shrink your pictures and the quality is not as good when they are sent through these servers. The exception is KODAK picture sharing, which is OK to use to send pictures because it does not compromise the quality.

Q. How long will it take to get my order?
A. It takes me approximately 2 days to turn around a sample to you once pictures were sent. I email after I receive pictures to let you know when to expect a sample for sure. Then, once it is approved, it is 2-3 days to be printed then they are mailed priority after that. Most people receive their cards in a week or less from when they submitted the photos. It helps to check your email the day after you send pictures because your sample will probably be there.

Q. Are the colored backgrounds extra?
A. No, all my announcement/thankyou cards are the same price no matter what you color or layout you would like.

Q. Can you lighten/fix my pictures?
A. Yes, I am very good at editing the pictures. All the samples you see on the site have been edited in some way to make them look the best.

Q. Can you remove my husbands neckhair from the closeup shot?
A. Yes! I have actually been asked this a few times so I put it here! I can give him a ‘clean shave.’

Q. I have a picture I love of me and the baby but my breast is showing. Is there anything you can do?
A. Yes, nipples and breasts are very simple to cover in pictures and no one will ever know.

Q. What is the benefit of pre-ordering?
A. I can send your envelopes early so you may begin addressing them. Also, I will work on those first from other cards that are sent the same day. Also, payment is taken care of ahead of time so it is one less thing to worry about and for me to wait for before I send your cards.

Q. Do you have pink or blue envelopes?
A. Yes, the pink envelopes are a beautiful semi-translucent finish which can be written on in a regular felt-tip pen (you can get a peek of the beautiful announcement inside) and the blue envelopes are a light blue linen finish (non translucent). They are .25 additional, each.

Q. I’m local in Orange County, can I come pick up the cards?
A. Yes, I am in Aliso Viejo, or Costa Mesa, CA.

Q. Can you make these cards for anything?
A. Yes, these are all custom and can be made for any occasion-wedding, birthday invitation, christening, bar mitzvah, anything. I have lots of samples of other events, please email me to see.

Q. What type of printer are they printed on?
A. They are printed on a professional Noritsu QSS 3101 at 320 ppi.

Q. Do you have other fonts?
A. Yes I have over 10,000 fonts... please email if there was a particular one you were looking for or for a style (script, handwriting, kiddish, etc.) and I can send more options for you.

Q. Can you print address labels for me in the font?
A. Yes, addresses are .25 each.

Q. Can I reorder more later?
A. Yes, I will always keep your announcements on disk. You can reorder any quantity (in otherwise no minimum for reorders and shipping is less also on reorders).

Q. Can I write anything on the back?
A. It is the same surface as the back of a photo. I recommend using a printed label for text on the back (directions, or other important info that is too busy for the front). But if there is a lot more text that you would like on your card, please let me know and I can fit most on the card itself by omitting a picture, making type smaller, etc.

Q. Is there a watermark on the printed cards?
A. No, unlike a lot of companies I do not have my website printed on the front of the card. There is a small sticker on the back of the card with my name and copyright info.

Q. Can I have my pictures printed in color?
A. Yes, if you would like your pictures to remain in color, just let me know. I can still edit them.

Q. Can I order more later?
A. Yes I will always keep your file and you can order any quantity after your initial order.

Q. Can you make keepsake prints with my older children’s pictures?
A. Yes, I can do single enlargement pictures with no minimum if you would like them for you older children.

Q. My photos are not digital, can I mail them to you?
A. Yes, you can mail your photographs to me and I can scan them for you. I charge $10. for my time for this and will return the originals with your order. Another option is to have your photo developer put your negatives on CD and you can email them that way.

Q. How do I email my pictures?
A. Open a new message in your email to me: babyjcards@gmail.com and there should be an ‘attachment’ or paperclip icon button; click that and a browser will open to look for files on your computer-find your first picture to send and click ok-your file should be attached to the email. Send me this one to make sure it came through ok-Ill email you back and then you can send the rest with the same process.

Q. Can I get less than 40 cards?
A. Yes, you can get less than 40 cards but they are $1.25 each versus $1.00 at this time.

Q. Can you do a new design for me that I dont see on your site?
A. Yes, if you have an idea, I would love to hear it and help you create it! My website is just a sampling of work that I have done. And if you next question is, "Does that cost more?" The answer is no; not at this time.

Q. Can I get folded cards?
A. Yes, folded cardstock cards are also available in 5x7" size. Please email quantity you need for a quote. Inside imprinting is included in price.

Q. Can you make postcards so I can save on postage?
A. Yes, postcards for the mail are also available. Again, for these special items, please email for quote.

Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. Yes, I ship internationally. I only ship via Global Express or Global Priority mail for international packages. Please include that info for me on the order or email and I can give you a shipping price for either option.
